He was steller against the leafs too.

Fun period to watch. Chances at both ends, Flames started to tilt the ice a little bit more the 2nd half. Really hope Coronato pots one tonight, I just love that he's not afraid to shoot.

That sliding save by was exactly the same as the one he got lambasted for against Montreal last year. The only difference was who picked up the puck

This team plays so different vs Sat. HNIC with BOA has a psychological impact on the team’s performance.

Well, the Oilers are a significantly better team than the Blues…

Markstrom also just put in another brilliant period.

It disgusts me to say this but the Flames play scared against the Oilers. If, just once, they would play their own game against the Oilers, they could beat that team.

How good is Mario Weegar tho?

(Stuck at the office doing some last minute code changes... just caught the one highlight.)

Both are very true statements , IMO.

Vladar was also phenomenal against Oilers.

Agreed?

[Tinfoil hat alert!] What if... Markstrom wasn't hurt? What if he just didn't want to play the Oilers, and the team sat him for a couple game prior to that one so it wasn't obvious to everyone?

This is so much better than the last time we played this team. That game was the most boring Flames game in a long time.

wacky Ball/Hrudey storytelling aside, pretty impressive with Weegar 10 Even strength goals in 47- only Flames D faster are the Hall of Famers MacInnis and Housley (no Suter, Gio, Reinhart, Phaneuf etc)
