Clearly a memo was sent out to the officials in the Oilers / Devils game prior to the start of the game to not do anything that might give momentum to New Jersey. Have to get those Oiler darlings back in the race.

They're being outshot 25-11.

Still, if I followed the whale team I'd be pretty happy. Making the playoffs would've been the pre-season expectation so this is absolutely exceeding any reasonable predictions for them.

So Oilers won yet the only team they made up any ground on was Seattle.
