When Tre's got his mind set on a player, even if it's not achievable at the moment, he'll pursue getting that player at all cost. Good examples are:

Hamonic
Markstrom
Kadri - probably the best example as he tried to get him for Brodie and Tre circled back to finally snag him on free agency.

Just watch, Tre's gonna make a pitch for either Tanev and/or Hanifin some time right after Christmas well before the trade deadline. Hope Conny's gonna play hardball and snag Nylander out of the deal somehow. Tre is also likely going for a goalie and I know he likes Markstrom. Likely need salary retainment but Tre's gotta pony up something!
