That’s almost certainly not the case. The Zadorov move was either coincidental or more likely done for salary cap purposes to allow Kylington to return.

doubt it had anything to do with it. Z was on borrowed time after his agent went public, meanwhile there's no timeline for Kylington ... can't see one thing being linked to the other one here.

So very happy for him just to be skating with the Team. I hadn't given up all hope but truly this was out of the blue. I'm so excited for the possibilities but let's not get ahead of ourselves. However if and when he does return for a game, I will be there in my Kylington jersey cheering as loud as anyone.

Delighted for the human; he's clearly had his struggles and hopefully is emerging on the other side of them. If so, one hopes this is good news for the Flames as well.

I thought of that angle as well. If word got out that Kylington was taking steps and closer to returning, it could give the impression that the Flames have to make a move soon.
I find it a little too coincidental that the day after the trade, Kylington make an appearance at practice.
