Huberdeau slowly closing that gap on Johnny for points with their new teams.

Also got roasted a bit for blending the lines in the 3rd but apparently that worked out well. Dominant 3rd, followed by an OT victory. Apparently he knew what he was doing.

Maybe not for a local. Except the “stay away from Kid Rock’s” is always true.

They keep playing like this they won't be for long

Goaltending was basically NHL average for both sides, so not exactly terrible.
Also, if they keep up this level of play they won't be in the mushy middle for long, so no need to worry.

Only part of the Blender I didn't like was putting Greer on the top line.

4th line wasn't good all night and probably should have been Zary in spot minutes there.

They were double shifting Huberdeau though for a lot of even and were down to 8 forwards...he looked exhausted by the end of OT

Caught the last half of the third and OT, so pretty much just domination for the Flames. Was super disappointed that they scored to tie it then immediately gave up an A+ chance the other way, they really really need to knock that off.

Yup. As long as he goes back to normal lines give or take a swap with Ruzicka etc, then it’s all good.

In the GDT I asked Lindholm, Huberdeau, and Mangiapane to step up and they all did! Stoked for the OT win. Bring on the Preds on Weds!

Huberdeau in the last 3 games has 5 points.

In those 3 games he's thrown 5 hits which is more than he's thrown in his previous 13 games combined.

In those 3 games he's had 9 shots which is more than he's shot in his previous 10 games combined.

Backlund + Coleman are magicians for getting people going.
