It’s your choice. I’ve haven’t rung a doorbell and completed a handoff personally, I usually like to be a bit more sneaky about it and ding dong ditch but in the card I always introduce myself.
One year Csnarpy came in and we had a beer and shot the breeze for an hour or so when he dropped off his gift and that was excellent. I really enjoyed that.
Others have mentioned they don’t reveal themselves and some will send on a PM.
It truly varies.
If I had the money I’d deliver a personal message via sky writing.

I have strategically placed house plants thanks to my cat. I really do love them, though. And yes, we start our seeds for the garden inside each spring! It's my favourite time of the year!
Haven't done much baking, although I did bake my first cake a month ago and kinda nailed it. So it's definitely something I could get into.
