Conroy needs to take a lesson from Sakic with the Duchene trade. Just because the player asks for a trade doesn't mean you have to make a move right away. If a good offer doesn't pop up things might change as the standing solidify.

100%, I'm happy with this as there was two endings to Zadorov in Calgary if we don't trade him - a) 4-5 year big dollar deal that we regret in year 1 or 2, or b) we think we can sign him and then he walks in the off season.
There's no good solution to keeping Zadorov in a Flames uniform, as much as I really love what he brings as a sheltered, big body. (hint: he won't be paid as sheltered).
