See, a rebuild ain't so bad when you got young players that showcase talent and energy.
More of that, less of old dead weight.

Sven Baertschi looked really good tonight.
Took him long enough to figure it out

I have to give Huska credit this game for playing Zary that much and playing him in 6 on 5 instead of Huberdeau.

Yes. Wasting prime minutes, almost shorthanded when he’s out there. Stapled to bench in last minute though.

Tell him to void his NMC because you've "found a trade for him" then once its voided, assign him to the Wranglers, make him play out the rest of his days in pro hockey purgatory. Maybe he'll retire early.

Flames won 2 of 3 periods IMO. But that 2nd was so bad it cost them the game.

Actually wild how much of an upgrade it is from Dube to Zary.

Do you remember when the flames were getting stale with Iginla, Tanguay, and Bouwmeester?
We then dropped them for exciting up and coming players like Monahan, Tkachuk, and Gadreau. Let's give the young guys a chance and get Hanifin, Lindholm out of here.

Hope we dig the hole so deep that some wins in the second half once the losers get shipped out and they start to figure out the system won't hurt their draft cause.

Aside from the icing his first power play was very good. But the others weren’t and he didn’t handle pucks well the rest of the night.

Huberdeau is like Roger Dorn in Major League. High priced vet who thinks he's better than he is and is more concerned about how he looks off the ice. Maybe Zary can be our Ricky Vaughn. Sign Phil Kessel to be our Jake Taylor. Andersson can be our Pedro Cerrano and bring the juju. Then we'll have something to watch.

Looking at the schedule this month, we could legitimately lose every single game.
@SEA, NSH, @TOR, @OTT (b2b), @MTL, VAN, NYI, @SEA, @NSH, @DAL, @COL (b2b), VGS, DAL.
Seattle is the worst team in the standings, and they're a significantly better team than the Flames now IMO. Nashville isn't a particularly good team, but the Flames have always struggled against them.

I could watch the Flames lose like that all season.
That gave was great. Let's see an 0-72 season, with every game a one goal loss. #1 overall pick who plays wing with Zary for the next decade.

Dig the hole so deep it isnt funny, keep Wolf down so he doesn't have to lose all year, just bring him up for the games you actually want to win. Then have him be the starter next year and never look back.

What about Huberdeau says “thinks he’s better than he is”. You are just making things up to suit a narrative.
