What Hyperbole? Markstrom is one early 1st period goal away from permanent residency in the fan doghouse and Wolf has earned any excitement majority of the fan base is displaying. Neither is hyperbole.vladar has had a strong camp but it's easy to see him as the odd man out when you do basic math.
I don't know if there's any goalie in the world that will stiffle a full bore Oiler roster given what they're sending up there for the roster.

And I think the next one against Van.
In neither case was it the Flames being covered, they just happened to be Van's opponent

Correct.
For many years now many—if not all—the Vancouver Canucks pre-season games have been broadcasted on SN Pacific. The only reason there are any Flames or Oilers pre-season games on TV is because SNP is picking them up as part of their broadcasting agreement with the Canucks.

Oilers starting line-up will be victorious against the Wranglers. Fan starting 'We want the Cup" and McAvi leads the on-ice parade after the game raising a Cup made from Home Depot buckets and tinfoil. Book it.

Nah.
McHobo, Draisaitl, Kane, "The Nuge"™ and Nurse will all run back to the dressing room, each grabbing one of these ...
Then, they will parade around the ice, refusing to share their mini-Cups with any of their perplexed teammates looking on from the side-boards in bewilderment.

Why would Deadmonton want their starting lineup playing against our AHL team? Weird all the way around.
You just know Pospisil is going to do something.

Shame to see a display with a space that will forever remain empty.
So uncivilized to torture those with OCD like that.

Mini-cups are standard equipment for all Edmonton players.

For some irrational reason (outside of being a flames fan), was really hoping that Pettersen would turn out to be a mini Backlund who developed slowly and consistently.
But I've heard nothing about him this preseason and not sure I've even noticed him on the ice.

I think just because they haven't played anything close to their full lineup all preseason.

Why not? It's nearing the end of pre-season and they're at home, so they're going to play their guys. Not up to them who the Flames send.
