So far this Stampede appears to be going off without a hitch.
I havent heard of any dead horses or back-alley gangbangs or casual gunplay in the park.
Thats a win!
I just jinxed it didnt I?
Apparently the Big Four turns into a hip hop venue at night and each show has been an absolute ####show. Security unable to control crowds. Young drunk girls dancing on tables surrounded by circles of horny men reaching out to grope them. Staff unable to pick up empties due to crowd size so the floor is littered in cups and bottles. Performers smoking on stage encouraging the crowd to do the same. A few people have been trampled already. Sounds like a horror show in there, but young people seem to love it
Going to Deadmau5 Saturday too with a large group of friends. One of my friends is one of the opening acts. She's a DJ from Kyiv who has performed in a few countries, but this will be her largest show. She's super pumped and has been practicing for weeks. Haven't heard anything that bad about the Badlands tent other than the surrounding apartment not liking the noise. We don't go to many events like this anymore, but usually hang out at the back to get away from the front row crowds and rowdiness.

Badlands is a great venue. Easily the best tent in town.

Every so often I wonder what happened to the women from the alley threesome. I know we as a culture fixated on her for patriarchal reasons but I recall she ended up making some money off it and touring clubs and ####. I assume she changed her name and got on with her life.

I wonder what is going through that Cop's mind. If he even saw it.
Because, while thoroughly disgusting I'm not entirely certain it constitutes a 'crime?'
Assuming he saw the whole thing, by the time that Cop picks his jaw up off the floor, what can he really do? That is so, so messed up.
What on Earth would compel someone to even contemplate....I cant even imagine being that hammered.
Ah well, and another Stampede Legend is born.
And I know it reflects on Calgary and the Stampede, but that lunatic could literally be from anywhere.

I dont know, good question. I hope she got on with her life. It certainly would have sucked for a while.
I mean, if she made some money off it, good for her? I dont know really how you monetize that but if she found a way then whatever.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

That got me wondering, too. He likely saw the guy getting close to his horse, he had to have heard what his horse was doing, but it's unlikely he saw the guy's cup and what he did with it under the horse. Cop probably just thought that the guy was a nut.
I also wonder a little if it's a manufactured moment. Someone just happened to be recording then? I don't know if the guy actually did the deed or just looked like he did. If the camera op and the drinker were in on it, trying to manufacture a moment? I don't know.

I followed this for a while after, since I was curious about how it would affect all three. It would have basically been a flash in the pan moment, forgotten-ish, but the lady kept it going. She tried to monetize it by doing 'special guest appearances' at strip clubs around town then around the province. She has since pretty much disappeared. Hopefully, getting on with life.

If you are going to see your friend play that's a major break for you. The lines to get into the tent have been huge.
If anyone else is going make sure you get in the correct line. General admission line is to the East of the entrance. Outlaw pass, VIP, GA+ and bottle service is to the West. Do not get in the VIP line with a GA ticket, they may not let you in.
Also, they are taking the caps off of water bottles. It's a good idea to bring your own they are selling the Nestle Pur Life brand, so any 500ml bottle cap should work. I doubt they will take them at search.
