Yager. I've gotten to watch him play in Moose Jaw. Legit scoring threat, and a top line center projection. Kid has a motor and a knack for the net.

I am hoping Oliver Moore is still available at 16. If not, I’d go Danielson or Yager.

If the flames end up trading both Hanifin and Lindholm before the draft, I would love for it to be for #13 (Buffalo) and #14 (Pittsburgh). Then draft any 3 of those four players at 13, 14 and 17 if they are available. I’m assuming Cristall and Moore will already be selected by then.

Went with Perrault only because I don't think there is a snowballs chance in hell Danielson will be there at 16. If Moore is still there though I go him first.

Voted Yager. But honestly, there's so many to choose from it almost feels like a can't miss scenario.

You know what's so relieving about Treliving being gone, as well as those GMs before him?
I'm more confident than ever we won't try to outsmart everybody and take someone out of left field.
Sounds like Conroy is team BPA and won't complicate this.
No "character" as the primary attribute, or picking a high-school leaguer like Feaster did
Mind you, it would be especially hard to make a bad pick at 16

When did Tree take someone out of left field?

Only person out of left field was Jankowski and that was Feaster.
Treliving went BPA

For those voting for a center I should remind you Matthew Wood had team high 45g-40a-85pts in 46 games as a 16 year old in Victoria as a center, he was moved to wing in Connecticut because an older Ryan Tverberg couldn't play wing and the coach wanted Wood on the top line.
If Wood is available and the Flames pass I might have a stroke

Danielson looks like a low risk, low reward type pick. Doesn't excel at anything, but is good at everything. Think there are gonna be guys like this in later rounds. Maybe not as polished, but project as a middle six type like him. Hoping the Flames swing for the fences with the first. Went with Wood because skating can be improved and he already has top end hands and shot. Also goes to the tough areas where a guy like Danielson sticks more to the perimeter.

That really didn't happen under Treliving. If anything Conroy is an unknown right now a for all we know he's the guy trying to outsmart everyone else although that doesn't seem like the case if he's collaborating with scouts and his assistants.
