I really like Conroy and wish him every success as a GM. After the last year, I find it's very hard to gaf about the Flames and this announcement isn't changing that for me, but I hope he finds success and builds a good team with good people.

I would have preferred a completely fresh approach to the front office personally, but the list of GMs being considered that got leaked was pretty bleak. This is the best option compared to them. Let's hope he can get actual team control.

It’s fun to think there is basically a whole generation of Flames fans who will now get exposure to Conroy. I’m sure they’ve heard his name and seen clips, but gotta think there’s a good chunk of people finally about to get the full Conroy experience
