I liked how notley talked about 2 ucp policies she liked when only asked for one, but Smith spent her time on the question thanking notley for liking the ucp policies. Lol

You understand that the rate cap has zero effect on the actual cost of the electricity provided, right?
You understand that rates only spiked after the NDP dissolved the Balancing Pool, bought out the PPAs and was moving towards a capacity market, right?

Notley was rattled, nervous, she stuttered quite a bit, and her points were weak. On the other hand, Smith spoke with confidence, structure, and carried herself like a real leader. Smith won this debate by a landslide.

Smith did her job which was sound competent. Notley didn’t do her job of showing Smith is a Liar and a weather vane.
Smith just lied continuously has was not effectively called out.

The truth is all of you knew Notley would bring a knife to a gun fight tonight.
Not on her best day could she go toe to toe with Smith on unscripted event.

I’d imagine there are just as many undecideds now as there were immediately preceding that debate. The one thing I’ve never understood though, is why we can’t have the leaders debate once a week during the election?

If debates were like this one, I'd be all for it.
If debates are like the last few federal ones, hard pass.
Both the moderators and candidates deserve credit for a civilized debate.
That was one of the better debates in recent memory.

Why would anyone choose to support a straight up liar like that? It's wild to me.

They way Smith lies and presents alternative facts with such conviction is absolutely terrifying in a leader. The fact that her base believes in these lies shows such a lack of competency for that segment of Albertans. Trump enabled this political reckoning and not surprised that many in Alberta would fall for such deceit. How can you hold someone accountable when they spin reality to suit their own selfish desires and you buy into that rhetoric. I’m confident that this type of hypocrisy and US style republican politics would fail miserably in any other province but Alberta. The fact that Danielle Smith is leading and will most likely win this election is disappointing to democracy. The people need to hold their politicians accountable for behaviour such as lying yet Alberta is going to reward this self consumed deranged lunatic with four more years. Prove me wrong Alberta there is still time yet the outcome seems almost certain.

Ahh, please tell me more about how the NDP dissolved the balancing pool.
You know, the one that the UCP introduced legislation to dissolve in 2022.
You made 4 statements about the electrical system and I’ll say 2 of them are kind of half right.
But yeah, tell other people what they don’t understand.

That is 100% false.
Care to explain how I’m the one with misinformation?
