Nieuwendyk
Val Bure (I was young and though it was cool that DJ from full house was living in Calgary part of the time)
Iginla
Lombardi
Yelle
Tanguay
Backlund
Monohan
Bennett

As far as the current roster, aside from Backlund, I'm not sure I'm there with Huberdeau quite yet, but I really rooting for the guy to have a bounce back, and be the player he knows he can be. I've also projecting all professional struggles over the last several years onto Jonathan's this year, which isn't fair, but hey that's sports.

Guys like Phaneuf and Bennett had their moments but they passed. Regehr and Tanguay were close but late cuts. Lindholm also was close to making the list

Kiprusoff, and it's not particularly close. I really liked some other guys (Iginla, Bure, Regehr, Huselius, Gaudreau, Monahan, Backlund etc), but nobody comes close to Kipper. That 34 is not up there is a damn shame.

I feel like part of the reason it's not retired is that they can't get Mikka on a plane to fly to Calgary.

I was in the same baby swimming class with my kid as DJ from full house. That was interesting.

Of course now she’s a bit nutty.

I'm a weirdo. My favorite players in the 2000s were Kristian Huselius and Jamie Lundmark. I even wrote a positive post about Jamie Lundmark on a forum (might have been CP) and his wife reached out in thanks lol.

I think the Candice and Kirk's family always have been. They've just stayed in place as the society shifted around them.

Paul Fenton
Jarome Iginla

and now no one as #12 Flames jersey is retired so maybe I should retire too!
I was a Flames fan before they moved to Calgary because of Lysiak. It would have been so great if they had kept him and reunited him with Lanny in Calgary.

Hudler deserves to be on the honorable mentions list too.

Johnny Hockey. Only player I developed an affinity for since McDonald and Loob. Sigh.

Joey Mullen. I never forgave Fletcher when he traded Mullen to Pittsburgh. He still had some good years left.
