Unlikely that happens to the Leafs but who knows
I feel goaltending for the Panthers and Bruins were poor. But defensively both teams played poorly as well, especially the Bruins. The Bruins and Panthers series was wide open, but the Leafs and Bolts was quite close checking without as many glaring defensive lapses. It's the playoffs and I don't think any "true" Leaf fan will be looking past the Panthers. Also Lyon owned the Leafs if I remember correctly. Series will be tight and excited watch some Tkachuk hijinks as long he isn't jumping on our goalies head ala when he played for the Flames.

Both teams should have some swagger.
I'm excited for this one.

I doubt Lyon owed the Leafs since they were 3-0-1 against the Panthers

First two games were against Bob. Last two versus Lyon both went to OT. Leafs lost with Lyon stopping 38 of 40 shots. Second game Leafs won Lyon stopped 23 of 25. So GAA of under 2 and .938 SV. Only two games but he's looked good against us.

From watching both series, I thought the Lightening were a better team than the Bruins in round one. The Bruins had periods of dominance, but they weren't as consistently good as the Lightening were. Putting aside the regular season rankings and just looking at the games played in the playoffs, I find beating the Lightening to be the more impressive feat, even though it's less surprising when factoring in the regular season rankings.

Ugh. This is like watching Canucks vs Oilers East... so I just hope the home team loses every game. So Panthers in 7.

Chucky and Sam are going to cause chaos and dash the hopes of Leaf fans everywhere.

What a storyline.

Just wish they could be doing it wearing the Flaming C.

Panthers in 7 games as they are peaking at the right time of the season. Beating the Bruins also has to give them a boat load of confidence. Just like the way the Panthers are playing now.

Bobrovsky kind of stole those last few games for the Panthers. I don't know if I trust him to remain on that run. I think the Leafs should take this one in 6 games.

I really think the Leafs are going to dominate Florida. The Panthers looked exhausted the last game. Questionable goaltending with a scoring first mentality of the Leafs, should be an onslaught for their defence. If Toronto had Boston it would have been a better matchup but I’ll give Florida one game where they can pull one off. Toronto in 5.

Toronto Carolina should be more of a series.

I wish the NHL found a way to make the Stanley Cup a round Robin and somehow get Toronto Florida and Edmonton into the finals.

Go Panthers!!! Wasn't it Gio who supposedly during the playoffs told Tkachuk to "Tone it down" or something to that effect? And Bennett the Flames highest pick ever was forced to play with ####ing Brouwer! It's a miracle He didn't leave sooner. Mismanagement at it's finest.

Tough series to call. Can Ilya Samsonov beat out whoever FLA has in net? That's the linchpin I think.

It is painfully nauseating to contemplate this, but with Boston out in the east, and Colorado and Minnesota out in the west, the chance of a SCF featuring Coilers and Leaves is growing stronger. The horror! The horror! (Apologies to Joseph Conrad)
Go Panthers and Knights!

I have become a Canes fan for the 2nd time in my life!

Who was the idiot Oiler D that injured Roloson during the finals? We need to build him a statue or at least a banner

Panthers worried about Leafs fans, restrict ticket sales to US billing zip codes

https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/...leafs-fans-out

Don’t think it’ll work. Secondary market prices in Florida for playoff hockey will likely pale in comparison to what Leafs fans already pay

Minnesota? Dallas is much better than them.
