I don’t have a horse in this race but:
1) seemed to be a clean hit. Pavelski went in with his head down. Though haven’t seen a good analysis if there was head contact.
2) I feel terrible for pavelski; especially given issues
3) Either way, why in the hell is dumba smiling/chuckling in the penalty box? Admittedly I just saw highlights, so maybe it was out of context? If not that is a terrible look and bulletin board material for the stars room.

Yup, 2 good teams that will beat the crap out of each other for probably 6 or 7 games.

I think that hit is the very definition of "borderline". It's very close to being too late, but probably just on the "acceptable" side of the line. Tough call.

The Minnesota Wild

One of the most forgettable franchises in the NHL

How?

Can someone please tell me how in the blue hell this team continues to be a 100+ point team?

They have about $15 million in dead cap space and an almost 40 year old starting goalie. They only have one point per game player and their 4th highest point getter this season had 38 fricken points. They don't have an elite core, they never 'tanked' and got a bunch of high profile top 5 picks and they don't have an elite Dman that I can think of.

WTF?

Bill Guerin has a I'll do things my way thing that seems to work. If you whine he sends you elsewhere and the guys who stay are like a cult. Plus the Wild players genuinely hate Ryan Suter so that's motivating. Maybe they're scared that Dean Evason will light on fire at any minute if they don't play hard. He looks like an angry little demon.

No Pavelski at the morning skate, unsurprisingly. What a huge loss for that team if he's out a long time.

Pfff, the Miami Dolphins would have him out there for game 2.

He was clearly concussed. He had no idea where he was and was wobbly kneed minutes after the hit as he was getting to the bench.

If he's back before a Game 7 I'd be shocked...Game 7 I could see as it would be 12 days after the hit probably.

Fair enough. I just looked quickly and saw MAF had started the most games for them this season

Oh boy. 3-0 Stars. Starting Fleury has backfired bigtime.
