I think Calgary has the tie breaker with more RWs. So if Calgary and Nashville both win out, with the exception of a Nashville OT loss against Calgary, then Calgary would finish ahead of them.

Regulation, then ROW, then total wins is my understanding.

Oh ya its wins. Jesus I didn't think the Flames had a tie break on anyone with 15 loser points. Nashville plays a lot of overtime it seems. ####ers.

The Knights have a 3-0 lead 6:12 into the game on just four shots.

How about this, we are cheering for the Preds to win tonight so they are confident and beat the Jets on Sat, because we don't want Jets to make the playoff?

What's more important to you: the Jets missing the Playoffs or the Predators passing you because they have a higher point percentage and are playing really hot lately

4 goals on 6 shots for Vegas. Up 4-0 on LA in the first.

TBH, after last night game where the Jets fans there booing Anderson being boarded is stupid. Those fans do not deserve to have playoff hockey, not his year, not ever.

Because Nashville is less of a threat to Calgary’s playoff chances than Winnipeg.

Of course Nashville would be up for the Calgary game and it will be a tough one no matter what, but the Flames will also be up for it and if they beat Nashville along with the other results I outlined, Calgary couldn’t be caught by Nashville if CGY beat San Jose as well.

Calgary needs to jets to lose two out of four.

Calgary needs the Preds to lose one of their final if that one is to Calgary.

Ok but lets play along and say that's true, and go by the pure stats. Nashville winning tonight and again Saturday now puts them in a position where if they beat Calgary next week they're all but in at the expense of the Flames and the Jets. Why would you cheer it on to be a 3 horse race instead of a 2 horse race?

Nashville is obviously no push over but is far from some kind of world beater with that lineup.

Less things need to happen with the Preds than the Jets for the Flames to take that spot.

Flames have the destiny to stay ahead of Nashville in their own hands. They don’t have that luxury over the Jets.

If Calgary goes 3-0 to end the season they will finish ahead of Nashville no matter what. Barring something stupid like 3 shootout wins vs. 3 RWs for Nashville

The next most important thing is hoping for the Jets to lose as much as possible, which involves cheering for the teams they play against to be in situations where they care as much as possible about beating the Jets.

Ok, jesus christ, I'm not a Nashville fan but, that is circular logic. Right now as it stands the Predators hold their destiny in their hands, not Calgary, in that direct head to head matchup. I guess its en vogue here to write the Predators off, I know I've done that too, but they're not going anywhere and their no push over line up is beating a lot of great teams lately.
