Kadri is a “professional” not doing his job so wouldn’t surprise me if Sutter calls him out and he has a pout or tantrum about it.

Yeah, you still are expected to skate hard, Kadri.

So what did he exactly say? Kadri is barking at Sutter on the bench?

Remember when MacKinnon lost it at Bednar on the bench that one year before they beat the flames in the playoffs?

I don't recall seeing anything on the bench from Saturday just Markstrom breaking his stick.

I wish I was able to defend Sutter, but he's been a mad scientist all year- his decisions have been questionable to say the least.

-Plays Huby on his off-wing for months, even though he's clearly uncomfortable
-Keeps going with the Huby/Kadri combo, even though they obviously have ZERO chemistry.
-Plays plugs at key times, like double-shifting them with 3 minutes left in a game- either up or down a goal.
-Scoring issues? Let's try Lucic on the second line for a few weeks.
-Ruzicka was putting up too many points, better scratch him for half the year and ruin his development. Then play him as a 4th-liner. Rinse-and-repeat with Dube.
-Make hints that you don't like how the roster is constructed, because it can't be Sutter's fault!!!

Of course the players are mad at Sutter, I would cuss him out too.

Same. I didn’t see anything other than the Markstrom incident.

Like I said in todays GDT. I want to see this team in the playoffs. As the saying goes “ is there a method to his madness” or has he just gone mad. I think we need to see this team in the playoffs to tell.

The emotion shown over these last few days proves to me at some level this team still cares. Markstrom showing frustration and Kadri upset that he was not involved in OT makes me want to believe that they haven't given up yet.

What makes me mad though is that where was this type of emotion all season long? Now that the playoffs are getting out of reach that's when they decide to care? I mean it's game 70 against Dallas and a must win...just proves what type of season they've had. This should have been a game that even if we lost we were happy to get a point because we were comfortably in a playoff spot.

This version of the Flames from a fan perspective (or at least my perspective) has been the worst cast of characters in a long time. So much bs with this group all year long. Whether it's coaching, management, player production, media complaining, agent tweets it's getting to be ridiculous. Fans pay good money to watch this team and the very least you would hope they can put their differences aside and have a common goal to support each other and win games.

It has not been a fun ride and seems like everyday there is some new controversy or crap that we have to put up with. Just win some damn games, play as a team and see what happens. Save the bitching till the off-season. The primary focus should be to get in at this point but instead we have these side stories like lack of coaching communication, stick breaking, player arguing, agent tweeting etc.

I get it, each season as it's own version of distractions and stories (and media reports like this generate interest and likes) but I'm just so tired of this group from top to bottom. Would not upset me in the slightest to tear this down and start fresh. This group is not worth supporting from what I've seen 70 games into the season.

I really don't think he would be doing the stuff he has done to harden up the team for the playoffs.

The problem with that is doing all these strange things you can't show anyone up because you might not even make the playoffs.

No issue with Friedman or Serivali. The Flames are in the midst of a massively disappointing season in which expectations were very high. All 3 of the major acquisitions have not really lived up to the hype. Weegar has come on late, Huberdeau has been relatively medicore all year and Kadri went from a red hot start to next to nothing post all star break.

When a franchise fails to live up to the expectations these type of stories come out.

If Sutter didn’t have the record he does I would agree with what you are saying. But I still have to give him the benefit of the doubt. However my patience is getting thin.

Go look at the 2016 LA Kings playoffs.

That should be good enough

Well you could go back to 2012 2014. Sutter teams are all over the map.

I would like to think that Sutter isn't pointing the nose down on purpose, just to try to undermine Treliving's efforts, and give himself an "in" to take over the GM's chair, but that's the paranoid side of me....

Nah. That’s too far fetched! All insiders just hate the Flames!

Sadly you’re not the only one. The questionable decision-making by him in comparison to last year is backing up the paranoia.

Pat Steinberg on Overtime right now, so are we still going with Friedman having a vendetta against the Flames?
