Pelletier has cooled off quite a bit. would like to him have a big night.

Kadri just needs to be better.

Flames need to focus on quality instead of Quantity for ahots and chances.

Cheering for loses seems just as pointless as cheering for wins since we probably have less of a chance at a top 3 pick than we do with making the playoffs.
We’re 5 points out of a playoff spot, and 5 points above a top 10 pick.

Screw it, hopefully this team busts there balls for the obvious 9th place finish. I’m sure the player that goes at 10 will be about the same as 15…

It's not out of the question.

2011:
10th: Jonas Brodin
15th: JT Miller

2012:
10th: Slater Koekkoek
15th: Cody Ceci (Tom Wilson at 16)

2013:
10th: Valeri Nichushkin
15th: Ryan Pulock (Zadorov at 16)

2014:
10th: Nick Ritchie
15th: Dylan Larkin

2015:
10th: Mikko Rantanen
15th: Zachary Senyshyn (Barzal at 16)

2016:
10th: Tyson Jost
15th: Luke Kunin (Chychrun at 16)

2017:
10th: Owen Tippett
15th: Erik Brannstrom (Valimaki at 16)

Useless comparison and all, but you know what? I don't really want to draft 10th or 15th. Selecting 9th or better is my hope...but that seems unlikely

This is good but I'd leave Mang on the 3rd line as those three seem taylor made for each other. Pelts on a line with Kadri and Dube sounds worth trying.

Any lineup without Lucic in it at this point is a good lineup.

Meh people make too big of a deal out of draft placings. From about 7-20th or so, a lot of the prospects tend to be pretty similar and it comes down to team needs and scouting.

In order to get a top pick this year, you really had to plan ahead. Even a sell off at the deadline wasn't going to do it, as some of the teams are really bad.

Even Arizona is only in 7th last. If the Flames had traded Tkachuk for futures and not signed Kadri I doubt they could be that bad.

Just saw the Flames are the betting favourite to win the game tonight? In a building they've never won in? What is going on here

I wouldn’t mind drafting 32nd. But that also seems unlikely.

Bookies have figured out the Flames. Bet the opposite direction of what logic would point you towards.

If we go into tonight with the same top 9, it would be puzzling

Now it's "oh there's another game today" before you go into an unrelated thread

This would be much easier to stomach if it felt like this team was going somewhere (aside from mediocretown)

Quick gets the start tonight for the Knights... maybe the bookies are thinking he will continue struggling the way he was in LA.
