The Knights are only three points up on the Stars, do you think the Jets could catch them?

There's no reason we cant all join hands here and hope for Calgary and Winnipeg to move up and past the oilers, and Mcdavid watch the post season on tv
Edmonton crashing and burning is the preference and always will be in situations like this, but the Jets seem like a waste of a playoff spot given how they've fallen from their early season form. They're looking like an alley-oop to be first round fodder. Also they don't generate story lines, and they are coached by maybe the most boring strategist in the game. No one is marking down a Jets-Stars match up on their PVR

Calgary has played a boring brand themselves (which is more confidence based) but getting in presents more intrigue and storylines. There are redemption arcs such as markstrom and the club itself after being spurned and forced to transplant its core. There's the potential of a BOA rematch which every one in hockey wants more of. And there's Sutter who has the proven ability to coach bottom seed teams to deep playoff runs.

It's important for the city and generating interest to get shovels in the ground for that new building, which is sorely needed. Apathy around the team hurts that and likely delays the progression. There's a lot more value in Calgary going on a run and seeing playoffs than the Jets coasting in and wasting 8 days

Since the Flames will never throw the remainder of their schedule to get into the bedard sweepstakes, then I hope they win out and take a spot from one of these teams (wpg or edm)
