The Toffoli save was nice. But like so many other goalies this season they let him off the hook.

One thing this franchise continues to be elite at is the holding out of hope until the last moment before dashing it against the rocks of some bottom dweller...

Sorry to the 3 guys from out of town I sat next to at the wranglers game on Wednesday and said I would meet up with and buy em a drink.
I sobered up between then and now and realized that would a poor financial choice.
Buying tickets to the game that is, not the drinks

Is there a less clutch team in the league?
Like when the chips are down, we have to be the worst team in the league.

Genuinely wondering in earnest what the changes will look like this summer. Have to imagine we see some clarity on the off-ice front before trades are made ... right?

Worst defensive team in recent memory and they produced one goal.
I cannot believe they put out this effort in a game they had to have.

The Flames showed nothing once they went down.
Pretty bad effort overall. Nothing there offensively. Didn't look dangerous at all.

What did Richie do to still be up on the second line while Dube is stuck dragging Lucic around the rink? Other than the goal, he's looked a lot like Lucic looked on that line.
Peltier has looked good with Lindholm and Toffoli, but move Richie down to the 4th line and give Dube that spot.

Flames are the antithesis of clutch.
It's actually impressive how bad this team is at scoring considering the shot volume. It's like they're intentionally trying not to score due to how harmless their shooting attempts are.
Goalies get easy games against Flames.

Gibson didn't steal this game. Every goalie they face seems to steal the game.
Huberdeau is a LW, being played on the RW with 4th line LWs.
Kadri seems to have no awareness of his linemates.
Ritchie belongs on the 4th line or press box. Duehr is a much better fit.
Lucic shouldn't be in the NHL.
Mangiapane is on pace for 15.
If you're going to put Dube on the 4th line at least give him linemates.
Shots from our D are awful. Only shots they get through are when there's no traffic.

Absolutely blew it. The easy schedule remaining is actually a detriment as we can’t beat the bottom feeders.
