It would be great if the oilers forgot the date for contracts. Again.

BTW, I was told that the oilers wanted and expected lots of draft picks. I guess that narrative will be replaced by “doing a solid for JP; he’s much closer to home now”.

Maybe Carolina has a better supply and sizes of hockey helmets.

As much as I’d love to see him break out with Carolina. I highly doubt it, not a smart player at all.

Basically, trading him for a contract was better than losing him on waivers for nothing.

Puistola doesn't have a contract though. Just his rights until the end of the year. The mandate was to just get a name that Staples and Spector can pump tires of to soothe the fanbase for a while. Then when things settle down they can bash him for signing somewhere else.

Very happy the Flames didn't add him. He isn't breaking out anymore, he is the player he has shown.

I still think there is a decent player in there. But it was never happening in EDM.

That's nonsense. Puistola was considered one of the best young Finnish players in the world a mere 4 years ago. And since then he's become one of the Finnish players in the world.
