And that work happens in the summer

Step 1 is to fire Trelieving and let a new GM come in and look at everything and be objective in evaluating players. Then they can decide what to sell.

The front office of this organization needs to have an honest conversation about how flawed this current roster is, how much worse it can afford to be, and for how long it can afford to be this bad or worse. If the decisions are that this club cannot be allowed to be worse for any length of time, and efforts are made to improve the team in the immediate term -- as they were this offseason -- I feel we're doomed to a lot more mediocrity for a long, long time.

You are probably right, they will give it one more year. This team is light years away from competing for a Cup but they might make the playoffs next year and then lose 2 or 3 of those guys for nothing.

And player for player deals involving those guys happen in the summer
