They did look to be taking some more chances and playing with more confidence.
Some of the breakouts were a bit riskier in terms of flying the zone a second earlier for sure.
Hopefully they can keep the confidence because they could have collapsed after Markstrom started the game letting in 2 of 3
There is a talented team in there. They need to find chemistry, confidence and consistency

Yeah, the team has a style of play and set rushes outside of Sutter’s system they all collectively know and agreed on during the intermission, which looked suspiciously like the same Sutter system that was readily apparent last year, but was still known by guys who weren’t here last year.
Makes sense. Must be it.

So many surprises in that game.
Happy for the guys scoring their first goals, and impressed with Toffoli continuing towards what could be a career season at 30.
It's kind of weird the team still has no captain. Expected it might be resolved by this point. I wonder if they'll settle it after the trade deadline or if they'll potentially head into the post-season with no captain again.

Gilbert scored for the Blackhawks a few years ago so this was his second goal but first as a Flame
