Fair enough. In BC, they can stay on the bike, as long as they in an actual bike lane, that just happens to go through a crosswalk. I'm guessing the "elephant feet" are designating the crosswalks as bike lanes also?
It's not necessarily a bike lane, but in essence, yes.
That said, it doesn't matter if you're in a bike lane or not. Motorists will still endanger your life. Yesterday I was riding my kids to school, I'm in the bike lane and I see a semi-trailer at the front of the line at a red light, indicating he's turning right. I (wrongly) assume that he's going to wait to turn until the light turns green, so I ride up past the front of his cab to ensure that he can see me. I turn to look at him and make sure he sees me, he does, but chooses to turn right on the red anyway blocking 2 lanes of traffic and going into oncoming traffic while nearly running over me and my kids on my cargo bike. All while making hand gestures that tell me he thinks I'm an idiot.
In 99.9% of cases accidents like this are the result of drivers having undue care and attention.

I wonder if it was like one of those little Bird electric scooters that you can rent around town in Detroit. The City has a share program and you can find them anywhere. Are those things even considered vehicles? I see people riding them on sidewalks all the time.
We have them in downtown Calgary (as noted by Sutter in his interview), albeit a different brand and I think they remove them in the winter months. People ride them on the sidewalk all the time here.
We're on the hook for almost exactly twenty million more Canadian dollars with this guy, and nobody has a problem with him riding a scooter? How amateur is this organization? How have they not set rules about highly paid pro athletes engaging in dangerous activities?

It's a scooter. 8 year olds use them.

Bird scooters are put away but Neuron runs year round, took one the other day to Chinatown.

This is ridiculous.

I caught a guy taking the Neuron orange scooters down MacLeod trail yesterday during rush hour home and having all the cars slow down and bunch up trying to avoid him.
I finally caught up and shouted that he should be on the sidewalk and he was actually relieved. He was from Montreal where they are only allowed on roads.
I wonder what Detroit's bylaws are for where you can ride scooters.

Yeah, elephants feet designate a crosswalk as multi-use. There are already quite a few in Calgary but expect to see dozens more added each year

Cory Sarich was pretty badly injured when he was hit by a truck while riding a bike one summer in BC. It was after Sarich's time in Calgary and Sutter was in LA, but he still might have got a call about it.

Ras can drive a scooter/motorbike; ski-dive; cliff dive; or similar if he wants but there should be a clause in CBA that a team is off the hook with remaining salary for rest of term when injury occurs during higher risk activities.
If players want to risk forfeiting their golden ticket of a multiyear NHL contract and risk never playing again. It is their choice. Most will exercise common sense with the level and frequency of such activiites.
The fact that Andersson went for a scooter ride in rush hour traffic in one of the biggest cities in America tells me all I need to know about his intelligence.
Giving a guy like that a guaranteed contract for so much money tells me all I need to know about the Flames. What an amateur move. We're going to keep losing year after year if we keep operating like this. We're the biggest joke in the NHL.

Time to put a scooter clause in ever contract because internet user MegaErtz has deemed it necessary.

Why would you be riding a scooter in Michigan in February?
I know it’s been warm, but this seems to show a serious lack of common sense. Scooters are risky at the best of times, let alone in a cold-weather state in the middle of winter.
It was +11 there today. Not typical, but seemingly, becoming so.
