I really like Walker Duehr's play and hopefully it is not too long before he plays wing with Hubredeau. Kid can skate and shoot and has a good sense of the game. Give him a chance.
I really want Lewis and Lucic out of the line up but they are both quietly having a good stretch of games especially Lewis. His defense and penalty killing is tough to replace right now.

This is gonna be an emotional one. I personally still like Johnny and don’t think he did anything wrong. Yeah he could’ve made a decision sooner instead of stretching it out as long as he did, but I do think he was legitimately torn on what he wanted to do. He’s definitely gonna get booed which I understand, but I wouldn’t boo the guy if I was at the Dome tonight. I loved watching him and appreciate how great of a player he was for the franchise. And I’ll always remember seeing this goal in person:
even Crosby's reaction there
"well ####"
many good times and it was a fun ride, but he passed up a legit contention window here and didn't even go home
Nope. I have no desire to give a standing O or watch any tribute video to any player that didn't play the majority of their careers here. And I really don't want to watch a tribute for players that were drafted and developed here and left in their primes. If a guy is here for 12-15 years and is an impact player for the majority of their time here, like Iggy or Gio, I am 100% all for it. I'm also willing to make exceptions for players like Monahan who did not leave on bad terms and who would have been here much longer had it not been for injuries. Guys that spend the majority of their careers here and gave us the best years of their careers.
But guys like Gaudreau or Tkachuk? Go kick rocks. They won't end up playing the majority of their careers here and they both bailed on the team and the city in the prime of their careers. Good riddance.

Not to mention he chose to leave right after they finally had a good season to go to a bottom feeder

Tkachuk at least let us know and kept us afloat with his trade return. That makes us even. You can't equate him with the guy who blatantly screwed us and I also hope management learned to implement internal deadlines so we aren't left holding the bag again.

Yeah, there's a big difference between Johnny and Tkachuk. I'm of the opinion that Johnny didn't do anything wrong in the end and it's the Flames that screwed up by not having him secured before the final hour, but the consequence is that the Flames got left holding the bag, which I can understand fans being upset about.
