Did anyone else have a ton of trouble trying to load the 3rd period on the SportsNet Now app? I missed the entire 3rd until 3 minutes left and had to watch on my phone because it stayed frozen trying to synch with chrome cast. Rogers-SportsNet is a joke.

Tanev and Weegar a combined +4. Hanifin and Andersson a combined -7.

Pretty big difference today.

The "goalie wars" notwithstanding, I'm not sure how much you can fault Darth...fact is the Flames started farting around thinking they had an easy win and found out the hard way that wasn't true. Good lesson - the Coach will be keeping that one in his back pocket for the next time.

It’s a 6-5 league.

Mangiapane and Huberdeau both made unnecessary passes from high danger spots on the ice in the third. I don’t understand how a team that prioritizes shot volume can pass up on high danger chances.

I get that if the pass is successful, that it might be a near tap in but let’s say Mangiapane had a 30% chance of scoring on his own and the guy he’s passing to has a 60% chance of scoring, the pass needs to be perfectly delivered and received more than 50% of the time to make this a smart decision. I’d rather take the 30% chance of scoring than add the variable of a pass…

What made it worse is that Mangiapane’s pass was to Backlund who had a bad angle.

Dallas is a good team glad we came out of their building with 2 points.

Thought Wedgewood was pretty poor. Flames dominated most of the first two periods but never deserved to be up 6-1.

Total team collapse in the third not a good sign. I still think this team should be doing what it can do to get a shot at Bedard because the playoffs are going to be a waste of time. But the Flames making the playoffs goes a long way to keeping the grease out. As long as Bedard goes East I guess.

He was pretty damn good in the first 10 minutes of the second when the Stars were pouring it on. Most games this year the Flames would have been tied or losing by a goal midway through the second. Either way, even if you think he had a bad game he should start the next I think. If the other guy gets two horrible games to start the trip, surely the guy who wins can get another crack after a victory.

Andersson has really not been great lately.

That’s a big win though and essentially solidifies a good road trip. Nice.

There is always one in the crowd. I can't imagine being a fan and having an outlook like this.

He’s not faulting Vladar - he’s pointing out the differences in how some posters treat similar performances.

You're supposed to blow up the opponents backup goalie. Wedgewood stinks, the Flames finally do what they're supposed to do and smoke a backup keeper and you're still unhappy?

They goofed off and let Dallas back into the game. That's on the Flames, but its also credit to Dallas, they played like a top team in the third.
