Its been a solid reminder of how much the team stunk when they wore the original pedestals and the original Blasty. And Blasty the last time out too.

I like the Huberdeau/Dube switch.
Mangiapane is a left hand shooting scorer. Maybe he and Huberdeau click.

You do realize the Flames are 6-1-1 in their last 8 home games right? Jersey's have been pretty good

I don't mind that top 9, and Lucic back for a big team isn't shocking. Marky is playing well though you wouldn't know it based on some of the snark here.

Florida - Blasty - W (1st game with the alternates)
Montreal - Blasty - L
Washington - Pedestal - W
Arizona - Pedestal - W
Minnesota - Pedestal - W
Vancouver - Pedestal - SOL

You're right, record is solid.

Weird that just the thought of them immediately depresses me.

Uninspired looking hockey I suppose.

No?

You'll get to see the red for the next four months after new years

Wish Phillips was on second line. We know what Dube is now, a third liner at the best of times. Guessing Lucic is back in bc the Blues are more physical?

Dube has been one of the Flames best players recently...if not the best. Sometimes I wonder if people even watch the games.

"skip it Flames suck blah blah blah"

6-1-1 in last 8 home games lol

Anytime they show highlights where they are wearing red I find myself noticing how intensely red those jerseys are

I have been wanting the Huberdeau, kadri connection for a while. with Kadri skating ability and being probably the best forward at zone entries this tandem could work.

Only change I would make is swapping Dube and Ruzicka. Ruzicka looked good with Lind and Toff, and I really like the look of a third line of Dube-Backlund-Coleman.

Ruzicka - Lind - Toffoli
Huberdeau - Kadri - Mang
Dube - Backlund - Coleman

Otherwise I like it

I do not buy that 'we know that Dube is a third liner', he is still young and he has all the necessary tools to be a 50+ point player consistently. I am not sure why he is struggling to get to the next level, he has good speed, good edges, good shot (when he hits the net), good at passing, works hard etc. There is not really an area that he is bad at, I just think he needs more time and confidence to put it all togehter

I'm still annoyed at, and believe the season turned when:

- Markstrom gave up the bad third period goal to McDavid
- Sutter made the stupid comment about Huberdeau

But I dwell on these kind of things.

Might as well go one step further and swap Dube with Eatbread as we all know how well he played on Backs' line last season.

Ruzicka - Lind - Toffoli
Huberdeau - Kadri - Dube
Eatbread- Backlund - Coleman

and then one step further next week with Phillips replacing Coleman.

Rosey - Lindy - Toff
Hubeydoo - Kadri - Dube
Eatbread- Backs - Phillips
Lewis-Zohorny-Goalman

That's a chicken or egg thing isn't it?

If they're inconsistent and don't generate much and he doesn't change the lines wouldn't that make him a fool?

Generally when you decide someone is to blame, I guess you just see him at fault for everything.
