Queue Oiler fan rhetoric about how Flames have it easy because Buffalo isn’t icing the freight train that leveled two of their players.

It would be tremendous if the Dome started playing it EVERY night, as the crowd sing-a-long, instead of the very tired Cotton Eye Joe. Yes it's painfully slow, and not entirely a great message. But it would be a great tribute to Mr Sutter. And the rallying cry for a season that just might be a great one.

Against the bottom 10 teams last year, the Flames went 20-2-4. Not too bad.

Also, BUF scored a total of zero goals in regulation, over the 2 games last year.

Kudos to Cami Kepke (I think?) who asked that question... well done.

Sutter had high praise for the up and coming youth and this Buffalo team. They are better than last year and a couple of youg guy have taken a real step like Dahlen and Couzens. Tuch's only 26 as well. As long as Sutters wary of them we should be fine. They have 3 great skating if still green defenders.

Hope we get the first goal.

Don't know if Buffalo is going to be a bottom feeder.

They kind of flew under the radar with some of their work. Getting good fundamental players to build on.

Flames are looking amazing. Buffalo is a young team with low expectations at the start of the season.

I recall the game last year they beat us. We stepped on our own feet allowing Buffalo to escape with the extra point.

I am still of the mind that this new flames squad isn’t finished finding their own identity.

I think this squad has what it takes to not play down to the perceived level of their opponent. I expect a strong game from both sides. Flames win in regulation.

Buffalo has improved since trading Eichel, so they shouldn't be taken lightly.

Looking forward to this game. Flames win 4-1.

Go Flames Go!

I'd like to win either way but I just really want to cruise through Buffalo as the Coilers just lost to them. Would be fun for the beaking alone.

Looch strikes me as a go it alone type of dude. No wingman needed.

How many games are on 360 this year. Only channel I don’t get. Forced to watch baseball or the Oiler game. Guess I’m streaming...

You can’t go to the Roxbury alone.

So 2nd oldest team vs 2nd youngest.

Will be interesting to watch.

GFG

Oh and if they lose, let’s blame the lack of swearing in the GDT.
