I think Barzal is a very exciting player to watch, so some rate him way too high. He's not that great in the D zone, not a great goal-scorer, not big or physical, and not fantastic on faceoffs. He's still young, so he has plenty of time to improve, but he's not worth that contract right now. I guess the Isles were painted into a corner there.
