I really enjoyed this Lucic scrum from today. You can tell Lucic is enjoying his time now with the Flames and his role. He also has a humbleness to him. Having a guy like this in the Flames locker room is probably under appreciated by many Flames fans.

As much as I’d like to see more youth in our bottom 6, I’d be totally fine with Lucic returning next year.

Appears to be a great “glue guy” in the dressing room and a team leader. Couldn’t have imagined that trade working out so well for the Flames.

On pace for 82 points, which would best his career high of 62 in 2010-11 by 20 points. What a season he's having.

To score the GWG eliminating the Oilers from playoff contention, followed by a solid playoff performance and being 4th to hoist the cup (all while the Oilers pick up a portion of his salary).

5-10 goals. Cause havoc on forecheck. Keep teams honest. Provide locker room leadership.

Lucic was such a dominant force 10 years ago. I wonder what could be done to bring that guy back. Did his footspeed really deteriorate so much in those years or has the league just all gone Cale Makar and the skating of good players is so much better now than in those days?

/\ /\ I think players are just better skaters now....especially dmen.
Lucic seems to always be in good position whether it be to support or get pucks deep. He understands out systems well.

I am not against bringing Lucic back on a one year deal but it has to be at a max of $1 million. Can't overpay 4th liners any more.
