What I saw was the Flames' high-powered offence throwing everything and the kitchen sink at the Dallas net, and Oettinger frustrating them. He's the reason the series went to 7 games, even if Dallas was playing a good defensive system.
Perhaps they were mentally exhausted in the Oilers series. It didn't help that the 2 best players on the team had 3 points each in the first game, then disappeared for the rest of the series.
