Get outta here with your nonsense, you muppet.

If he actually signs that deal it was more about money than he let on
Maybe CBJ will take Monahan soon to seal the deal with Gaudreau

Columbus is not home just because it's geographically closer. This is ridiculous.

C'mon, comparing flight time to drive time?
Flight time from Columbus to NJ is an hour 15 minutes.
From Calgary, 4.5 hours.

Twisting the narrative to fit your thoughts on the situation. Fact is Columbus is hell of a lot closer to home then Calgary is.

It’s less than a 2 hr flight in the same time zone, with nowhere near the same travel demands for him over a 10 month hockey season.
There are about 15 teams that easily check the family friendly box way more than Calgary. He’s going to get 80m from one of them.

Free agents should be lining up to come to Calgary.
This is what Daryl Sutter can do for your paycheck.

Like I said yesterday. I’m an irrational fan, sometimes petty and I’m unapologetic about it. So I hope this is where he ends up and the team continues to be a perennial under-performer.

If Columbus signs Johnny they better sign Laine longterm ASAP because he will go off with Johnny feeding him the puck.

He's just biding his time waiting for Philly to clear space and not closing any other doors in the meantime. Well, except Calgary of course.

What is the max a player can earn? Last year it was 16.3 M AAV.

He's just using Columbus to up the NJ offer. Will be SHOCKED if he ends up anywhere but NJ.

Okay Nik-, by your right if he doesn't sign in Philly then it was never about Home. Because every other team is farther away then Philly.

Either decision that Johnny makes here is hilarious. Does he go to a crappy team in an undesirable market for huge money or do the BJs get shut down, again, after offering huge money to a premiere LWer?
This is awesome.
