Assuming it's the main arena at 7 Chiefs, that will be good for people wishing to attend because there will be seating available. You won't have to stand around the rink like at Winsport.

Wonder if this is foreshadowing to where the Heat may play out of? Flames made a deal to book the Seven Chiefs complex for Heat games/practices and perhaps any of the other stuff they periodically do at Winsport (speculating on my part).

If so then the traffic report might be relevant.

TBF, it wasn't bad until the price went through the roof. But they really should have had a dedicated entrance. Now they should make an intersection where the side exit is so you can enter there. Just have the gas people go the other way.

It's improved since they added a double gas lane thru the parking lot.

I've only filled up there from day 1 at around 830am. The line was always long even before the price of gas went through the roof.

Strongly disagree; that line has been bad since about six months after it opened. I don't think people were aware of how cheap the gas was there and then, BAM, overnight it became an issue.

How long until they add a third lane? Taking a queue from Gillette.

Any of the invites worth watching who might score a contract? Are they all bigs as well? Was hoping we might give Scheuermann from Vic Royals a look but he's gone to the oilers

Not sure about getting a contract, but here's a few I would be interested in seeing:

D Dylan Anhorn, 6'0"183lbs, 23 yrs old. Despite the fact he's 23, he put up good numbers at Union College of the ECAC (29gp/7g/13a/20pts). In his freshman year in 2019-20, he was named to the ECAC All-Rookie Team, and his 6 goals were 2nd for D in the league.

D Chris Sedoff, 6'1",190lbs, 20 years old. 65gp/7g/54a/61pts for Red Deer, 36 points ahead of the next defenseman on his team, and good for 7th in the WHL. He's come a long way from his draft year. Played with men in Finland in 2020-21, during the pandemic. By all accounts, he's pretty cerebral and details-oriented, in addition to being very mobile. His defensive play is already advanced, and he's highly aware in his own zone with good gaps, positioning, and a smart stick. He's a good passer with poise and patience, and exhibits quality breakouts. He can drive play effectively in all 3 zones. Sedoff may be the only invite in camp who I think might get a contract, even if it's an AHL pact.

F Max Graham, 6'3", 181lbs. 64gp/10g/23a/33pts for Kelowna. Just turned 18 in May, and was expected to be drafted late by some. Skating is above average, but needs work. Plays a very competitive, physical 200-foot game. He outworks and overpowers opponents. He won't get a contract just yet, but he may be one to watch.

The Flames Media guide for the Camp has Chechelev instead of Kochendoref attending.

https://flamesmedia.ca/wp-content/up...terBooklet.pdf

Also for those attending these lineups will be useful for watching (in years past they had printouts available to spectators, but in case they don't this year):

This is pretty cool. Carter Wilkie has sat in front of me at Flames games since he was 1. We're in row 3 in the press level, so when dad had to make a quick exit, he'd duck under the rail and I'd toss his kids over to him.
