Yeah it'd be one thing if the Flames lost a game against Edmonton playing Flames hockey. But they haven't done that yet. Stick to the game plan and defensive assignments and it's a new series.

If we can limit the McDavid line to 2 goals a game the other 3 lines contribute nothing other than Hyman.

Refs will put the whistles away as the series goes on. Flames are better 5 on 5

We gave them a tonne of chances , Coach has been saying all year this team needs to learn how to win.

No concern on my part ,he will have them ready and refocused.

and the sportsnet lovefest for the Coilers can bite me

Let the hockey world shower the opposition in glory.

Flames need to drain the emotion and play with the clinical stoicism that they did against Dallas.

Play their puck possession game, rolling 4 lines with a relentless forecheck.

Win 50/50 puck battles with layered checking & support while constantly facing the play to hunt and pounce on McDavid’s opportunities.

If they can do this, the Oilers will beat themselves.

At least we aren't the Panthers and scored more than 3 goals in the 2nd round...

Yet Calgary has 2 PP goals to their 1.

Thank you for this thread, pals! It’s the only one I’ve looked at since the loss. It’s so hard to stay even keel after big wins and losses, especially in this series. I believe in the boys. The Oilers are massively overachieving and when we find our game, it will be trouble for them. Let’s get the win tonight and Game 3 will be forgotten about quickly.

The Flames either deliver victory or we all get to enjoy the summer weather with more time on our hands. It's all just entertainment.

Like Apollo Creed said to Rocky, "he's just a man, be more man than him."

He's one guy, shut him down.

My thoughts exactly. The hockey gods want this to go 7, I’m sure of it. Lots of hockey still to be played.

The Flames can absolutely dominate when they're focused. There's a few players that need to and will up their game.
Rogers place, arena, toilet bowl will be quiet tonight.

The real positive is that my friend believes that because the Flames won game 1 and I was there, I should take his tickets for game 5

I feel like all the talk of McDavid setting the playoff scoring record has to spectacularly blow up in people's faces.
