Flames got what they deserved today. They stunk. They aren't learning lessons either.

Too bad about Tanev. We miss him more than they miss Drai

Terrible officiating may have turned the tide, but the poor play of the Flames sealed the deal.

The Flames played bad and lost. If they played great and lost I'd be way more worried.

Flames in 6.

To me this game came down to officiating.

It was bad.

Going into the third the powerplays were 6-2 for Edmonton and a few offsetting for 4 on 4.

Not only does that amount of special teams play throw the flow of the game off, it helped the Oilers disproportionately.

Markstrom was good but not great. But the Flames couldn't get any momentum going once the parade to the penalty box started.

Several of the Oilers goals wouldn't have happened if the game was called properly.

Different refs next game, and a chance to get the flow going will only help the Flames.

Hopefully Tanev will be back.

Who here thought this would be a sweep? Anyone?

We're making Hyman, a Leaf's reject look like Forsberg.

I can only hope our first line can learn some of McDavid's ability to will his team forward by sheer on-ice performance.

Kylington has had a rough 2 games. That being said not many Flames played well tonight

Absolute garbage.
Start Vladar. Markstrom doesn’t have it.

As we already knew but now seeing it the other way, Tanev was the glue holding that D group together.

The quick whistle non goal was killer. Even up for the Edmonton one or not, it still stings.

It happens.

Flames will be fine.

It clearly meets the definition of goals that are allowed to stand after the play is accidentally blown dead too.

Why not even a review?

Also been watching Chris Lee for 20+ years, back when he reffed in the Q. He was God awful back then

That referee is terrible for both teams tonight and the entire league. I understand he might be a vegetarian and inexperienced but this is the playoffs, where the hell are the veteran referees?

Dallas was the lowest scoring team to make the playoffs. Maybe they made us look better defensively?

The Oilers came out aggressive and played a much better game. The Flames did not.

Also, the inconsistency in reffing is the worst part of the NHL. So many calls were messed up or seemed inconsistent with plays not called, on both teams. It's genuinely the worst part of the NHL.

Dominating game until somehow Zadorov highsticked a guy with his stick at waist height.

Well that was....brutal.

The Flames played well to start, then for two periods just played like crap.
The reffing was crap.
The game call was crap. (Back onto mute.)
Even my wife said the constant shots of McDavid were pissing her off and were crap.

Burn the tape, move on.

Markstrom is getting absolutely lit up(besides the breakways), what happened to him?

Smith has a better save percentage than Markstrom through two games.

Let that sink in.

He needs to step up.

Flames in 5.

No lead is safe. Calgary needs to tighten things up. Five game series.

I hate that the narrative is going to be "hockey karma evened out" because of the no-goal calls.

The 1st Oilers no-goal featured a puck that was underneath Markstrom's glove, and was eventually poked free, after the whistle. You aren't allowed to poke the puck out of the goalie's glove so it shouldn't have been a goal even if the whistle didn't "blow early" IMO.

McDavid's interference was a no-brainer call that they got right again.

Toffoli's goal that was called back was just blatantly wrong, because the puck was loose the entire time and not jammed out from under Smith illegally. Just a terrible early whistle that would have seen a 4-4 score instead.
