It's technically not late, but more so false advertising. They have those later puck drop times to lineup with the previous games on for their broadcast partners. Want the games to ideally start, just as the previous game on TV should be wrapping up if it ends in regulation.

The panel is really sucking off the Leafs. The replay before Spezza is shown screaming about the chin strap off, and the next they're complimenting him about how calm he is. lol. Anything for a good leadership story.
