Good luck rest of the way.
They haven't looked good for 7 of the 9 periods. I have a reason to be concerned.

The caps however played 15 games against playoff teams in the last 2 months and were fighting for a better seed, they've been in playoff mode a lot longer than the Panthers have

So, we're just going to ignore the year he single-handedly eliminated the Tampa Bay Lightning juggernaut in the first round in 4 games?

To me this is about playing style and playoff experience, not about what happened in the regular season or the personnel. The Caps roster knows what it takes to win a cup and are playing the right way. Panthers are still learning. I thought they learned last year against Tampa, but alas, they still have a few players that have not been playoff performers added to the roster this year.

To me, this is about special teams.

Panthers PP has not scored a goal yet with 9 chances or so. In the regular season? 24.4% efficiency.

What about their PK? In the regular season they were a solid 79.5%...middle of the pack. In post season? An abysmal 66.7%.

This was the exact same story last year against Tampa Bay. They had a power play that scored at a high rate while the Panthers couldn't answer. Fix the special teams? It's probably a different series. Although they need to play with much more toughness if they expect to win anything.

You carry the curse of Sam Bennett, doomed to underachieve in perpetuity.

The Avs had the right idea semi-tanking at the end of the season to avoid the presidents trophy. That thing is cursed.

Flames are battling a tough series while Colorado coasted to a sweep! The narratives are looking really good for them to win the West!

The entire panel on TBS, including ex-referee Koharski, didn't think it was even a little bit questionable. I was flabbergasted.

It's pretty amazing considering how many ridiculous penalties are being called at the same time. And then this isn't even worth a 2 min minor.

Wow. That was clearly a shot directly to his head.

Koharski actually said "A clean solid hit, the kind Scott Stevens used to dish out."

Every highlight reel of Scott Stevens is a reel of suspendable headshots.

Yeah, and when I heard that all I could think was "wow, I'm so glad you're retired you stupid dinosaur."

An argument could be made that Bennett was bending his knees and was bending forward too and so the Caps player who was committed to the hit couldn't NOT hit the head.

Penalty or not, super braindead move by Bennett to cut across the ice like that.

I think it was a penalty FWIW.
