Of all players and the role that they are asked to play, backlund is the weakest fit. He's not a 2nd line C on a good team, let alone a contender.
Mangiapane and tofolli are legit wingers. Backlund just isn't good enough.

Being down 1-0 is fine, but the lack or urgency is not good.
I thought they would come out gangbusters after Thursday.

At 6 ounces per puck, it wouldn't even add 2 pounds to the total.
