I mean what is it that K.Lowe said, "If there's anyone in this room that knows more about laying eggs, it's...."

Wait. Am I doing this right?

Edit - in all seriousness, I'm not sure if you've played sports at a decent level, but you definitely do not play the same game you normally do simply to put a dent in someone's playoff hopes. You're willing to sacrifice anything to get in, but not to keep others out.

Be buying time for that content on pre game and highlight shows. There is a fair amount of people that are into it and with it becoming legal in more places, especially now that it is in Ontario, we are going to get more of it. Not less.
Yeah I get that, but it just really brings the show down. For me anyways. I want to hear about hockey and hockey stories. Not who's a great bet tonight. But money talks so like you said it's not going away. It's a shame, imo.

The absolute best part of a 7 game series is that all these regular season oddities get ironed out. There's not much to hide in a 7 game series. Yeah you're goalie can get hot, but with less clutch and grab these days hot goalies don't steal series the way they used to. It's a team thing.

Vegas blows out Calgary then lays an egg against Edmonton? Who gives a flying eff in game 76? Talk to me after round 1.

All of this stuff doesn't even register this time of year. It's about getting ready for game 1.

If the playoff matchups stand as is, Calgary should beat Nashville and Edmonton should beat LA.

Then Calgary will mop the goddamn floor with Edmonton in round 2.

Lol Oilers acting like they helped the Flames out here

I guess Calgary helped the Panthers clinch by beating the wings and Islanders.

Flames have 99 points with multiple games left, they are winning the division because they have a better record than the Oilers

Oiler fans getting pretty cocky all of a sudden. It'll make it even funnier when they still get bounced in round 1.

Historically I have never played Vegas. Unless you count blackjack where I’m roughly even.

It’s “laid”.

Which why I’m hoping for Vegas to get in

Hrudey again praising the Oiler coaching staff and taking another swipe at Sutter.

Sure would have been nice if the Flames could have beaten Vegas too. Hate to see them so close to a playoff spot.

So... are people cheering for the Kings at this point to hold them off, I assume? Bit easier to stomach with Doughty out.

It's interesting to see the oilers defence and goaltending rounding into form heading into the playoffs....

Must be nice going into the playoffs with confidence and momentum. Flames fans have no recollection of such things.

Well, you could take any of the Flames' wins and realize without those 2 points they haven't clinched yet. Add the win back to the total, and they've clinched.

Not sure what you mean by "their own terms" but it's an overly negative way of looking at it.

Oilers went in hot and confident last season, got swept

Montreal won fewer games than Multiple non-playoff teams, clinched with an OT loss, went to the finals

The Capitals lead 7-3. Ovechkin scored his 47th goal of the season. Mantha has four points. The Capitals could pass the Penguins.

The Stars are up 2-1 after forty minutes.

The Avalanche lead 2-0 after twenty minutes in a potential Stanley Cup Final.
