For how long have they been “unimpressive”?

We saw the elite Flames last Saturday, a whole 2 games ago.

But they have seemingly only shown up every other game of late, so yeah.

With all this rest finally? We should be coming at Arizona in waves.

Other than Markstrom, the entire team looks like ass so far tonight. Not moving their feet, passes are off, hardly any sustained pressure in the Yotes' zone.

Hopefully they can get their s*** together over the next 2 periods, or this could be a long, painful weekend of games.

Yikes. That was some uninspired hockey from the Flames.
They really need to clean up their breakouts.
Teams are finally getting wise to our wingers throwing the puck into the centre of the ice, rather than forcing it up the wall, and it's creating a lot of turnovers.

Flames haven't looked like themselves for 5 straight periods. Have to get back to their up tempo game.

I'm getting Buffalo vibes from this game, for sure.

Mirroring last weekend, with the same b2b scenario.

TBH I wouldn't be mad with a point tonight and two tomorrow if that's how it went down again.

Flames seem to play down to the competition at times. Hoping they get a few quick goals in the 2nd so they can save energy for tomorrow night. 2 wins would be nice this weekend.

Let's be clear though, this isn't a case of other teams 'suddenly' figuring our transition out.

It's a case of the vast majority of the group simply not showing up energized or playing pucks purposefully. There were some really poor passes made, particularly on the breakout.

They absolutely have the ability in them to clean that up.

They were pretty dominant in the final 2 minutes of the Sharks game and would have tied it if not for Reimer's heroics.

But yea, they've certainly allowed some bad habits to creep back into their game over the last few periods. They just need to clean up a few things when breaking out of their zone and get back to using their speed and heavy forecheck again.

Just tuned in. That’s the problem with the flames doing well- I tuned in expecting a 2 or 3 goal lead. High expectations suck…

4 periods of being outshot. Highly uncharacteristic, for sure.

But I thought all the problems would go away with Monahan in the press box!

How has the 4th line been without him? Any noticeable improvement?

This feels like the first time all season that Sarich doesn't have a cut somewhere on his face during these segments.

I wish I had a nickel for every time a team looked pretty good while trying to tie a game with their goalie out.
