better to make these mistakes now than game one...push at the end was unreal.
two bad goals but you shouldn't be giving SJ 38 shots

The missed penalty shot seemed to fire up the Sharks a lot.

Some issues sneaking into their game. Every team goes through stretches like this. I have faith Darryl will straighten them out. On to Phoenix.

I was wondering if he’d get the yank between the first and second because of the bad goal followed by the spear.

Johnny’s still on fire. Guy is in a different category this season.

The first 2 goals were on Markstrom. The next 2 on the defence. Anderson was terrible. Tanev not much better.

they were dominant in the first, the 2-1 score was massively unjust

I actually thought Sutter was a little impatient with his top line mixing as well. Toffoli was looking dangerous and then got taken off in favour of Tkachuk, who was playing fine with Backlund.

Yup get Monahan and Lucic away from each other please.
Lucic has been brutal. Can’t control the puck at ALL. Wouldn’t mind a healthy scratch there.

Haha, Jason LaBarbera doing the post-game presser. Sutter must be pissed.

It's not all bad. Oilers give up a 3-2 lead late in the game and end up losing 5-3 to the Stars.

Off night for Markstrom combined with way too many wide shots. Put it behind and move on to the next one.

Sutter probably liked the spear, I did
don't shoot the puck into the net 5 seconds after the whistle

I think Lucic has really struggled lately.
I also think Lucic and Monahan aren't good together - not enough speed
I would like to see Ritchie replace Lucic for a spell

I know you're joking, but that 4th line is brutal right now. Carpenter probably isn't going to make a huge difference on the score sheet, but shaking up the 4th line can't hurt. That line used to generate some really good board play and trap teams in their own zone, but now they can barely get out of their own zone.
Lucic has been especially bad with getting the puck out from the ringette line and up.
I'll be curious to see who comes out for Carpenter

Yeah, I'm really not concerned. For those that watched, the Flames didn't play near their best, Markstrom certainly didn't play near what he can and the Sharks still barely beat them with the Flames nearly scoring in the last minute. These games happen in a long season, especially around this time of year.

Sutter said this week's ago but he sees bad things creeping back into their games and he's NOT wrong.
Playing down to the level of your opponent and knowing your doing it is a recipe for disaster.
Shake It off, burn the tape , get back on the horse.
Let's get going .
