I just can't be mad when I see the effort is there, so hopefully they will get some rest and will be fresh for Tampa.
Well, the Monahan line made two bad mistakes in a row. But all 4 lines got scored on. I think the Flames got outplayed and were sloppy. There were a whole bunch of Caps chances that were kept out by luck or the post prior to the two goals they got in the second.

ETA: At least three times Vladar was way out of the net with Flames lying on top of him and the puck just bounced away from a cap or they’d have had a few easy goals.

Nobody knows. SN cut the broadcast immediately after the final horn.

It’s called fatigue….mentally and physically.

High danger chances were 12-5 Flames and they lost 5-4

Flames were not outplayed

Yeah.

Monahan and Lucic each cost the team a goal, and then Vladar wasn’t good. Those giveaways do the backup goalie no favours.

I'm pretty happy. Ovechkin is awesome, and the Flames have won 16 of their last 19 games

I just caught the end of Sutter's press conference on Facebook. He said he didn't like a couple of the goals on Vladar.

They were the sloppier team. 2 posts and 3 scrambles where Vladar was knocked right out of the crease plus the first 3 goals are more than 5 high danger chances. I have no clue how they figure the stat.

Hard to tell on the replay of Wilson/Gaudreau at the end. Obviously Wilson’s reputation makes it hard to give him the benefit of any doubt; I think the fact that Wilson’s leg was off the ice right before contact will hopefully take some of the force away on the impact.

Assuming Johnny was able to skate off, hopefully it’s nothing. Same with Rasmus’ hand.

Monahan with the least amount of ice time of any skater.

Boys looked gassed tonight; showed in the sloppy mental play although they mostly played "alright". Just not well. D was WAY too sloppy and careless.

Dube needs to be benched for a while. Monahan...he's done a lot for this club, but when he's tired, he just isn't much at all. It's a shame.
