212 for Monahan, it's been slow going but he is now 1 behind MacInnis
98 for Lindholm, he may not catch Monahan this year but he's moved out of his tie with Conroy into sole position of 25th place, 2 behind Paul Reinhart at 100 Flames goals

The boy only lasted until the 2nd intermission, but we’ll take the win! Had a blast and got to see Harvey up close and personal so his day was made… oh and also popcorn, half a bag to himself lol.

Shoutout to the Jets fan who changed allegiances on the winning goal:
Interestingly her husband wearing a flames jersey and a Jets hat (i think?) looks disappointed. The child appears to have chosen the correct allegiance though.

As soon as the second goal was called back, I had a bad feeling about this one. The third period didn’t alleviate any concerns with the Jets smothering any offensive pressure. I quickly ran to grab a second beer with a few minutes left saying “the boys need me to do this” the Hockey Gods agreed
even then I think it was an even-steven game at worst, we are just used to embarrassing teams. I don't think the Flames stole that one per se, but there were stretches where the Jets were better for sure

The winning goal was really created by Kylington with his great explosive attack to the offensive zone, passing the puck over to Tkachuk, responsibly dropping back in case of a turnover, then when Lindholm and Johnny stole the puck back and attacked the net, Kylington drove in causing confusion for the Jets allowing Lindholm to deflect the winning goal in.
I love how dynamic he's become. Just great to watch!
For sure. But just before he took out Markstrom (after he made a great save) and Jets had a wide open net.
So, the Flames are the best team in the NHL in GA/GP with a dazzling 2.35 before today's action, and there are a bunch of Eastern Conference teams that are within a respectable range. But the Flames are absolutely destroying the Western Conference in their defensive game. Through 49 games the Flames have allowed 114 goals. The #2 team in the conference is St. Louis with 137 through an even number of games played. In the Pacific Division the LA Kings are the next-best team with 141 GA in 50 games.
Darryl Sutter hockey, ladies and gentlemen.

Reason: The b is next to the n, and didn't realize I misspelled son... that would been awkward if my wife saw that

this current Flames team has a better winning streak than the 80s Oiler teams
the thing is, that in the current era, arguably overtime and now shootouts can artificially inflate win streaks- but not here- the first one was OT but otherwise no OT and no shootouts, and that's 9 straight in regulation
