Ruzicka was voted the 9th best prospect in CP’s annual ranking this past year.
What a pleasant surprise he has been, and that’s not even mentioning Kylington’s emergence.
I wonder who will be the next one to step up.
Maybe the org does a good job developing prospects contrary to the belief of some very vocal posters?

Ruzicka reminds me in some respects to Andersson. As prospects, both displayed prodigious talent, but there were question marks for motivation/effort.

Both seem to have worked on that aspect.

Tidy win. You need to beat the teams you should beat (an issue this team has had historically).

Under Sutter these wins seem automatic more often than not. Hard to not be optimistic with the way the team is trending. Bring on the second half of the season.

Are the Yotes the most embarrasing team and org in prosports? Maybe they should play on a pond.. Time to move the franchise. This is pathetic. Worst org in decades.
You are incorrect… the Oilers are who we were looking for. No, not the Houston Oilers!

Points, and who has the time to look at the game summary when Yanet is pointing at it.

Time for Murray Edwards to give Tree a blank cheque and say “get it done.” Johnny has been incredible this year. Please sign…we deserve nice things, right?

Wasn't very pretty, but a huge win heading into the All Star break.

Hope Tre can use the time to get contracts done for Tkachuk and Gaudreau...what wishful thinking.

You know Treliving is already authorized to spend to the cap, right? You can't write a cheque any blanker than that.

Take the 2 points and get on outta here. Thought the team’s structure got a little loose after 20 there, but not unexpected with such a dominant first and the All Star break around the corner. As good as the first line was though, I thought the second line was dominant on both sides of ice. They gave up practically nothing and scored 3 themselves. That’s a great second line there with shades of the 3M line.

I’m very interested to see how they do in the second half of the season where they have to grind out wins. Backlund’s lines have always been better in these types of games vs the wide open run and gun. Nice way to finish off the first half of the season.

Coleman heating up. Flames meet mid-season goal.

They're going to enjoy this weekend.

It's not giving Johnny whatever he wants as much as it is to do with the salary cap. I'm sure Tre will offer the max he can while still being able to afford some depth and a decent team.

The good thing is that there is some replaceable money coming off the books after this season. Pitlick is making 1.75, Ritchie is making 900k, Zadorov I like but at 3.75 maybe they let him go, who knows.

The bigger issue will be the RFAs who will be getting raises. Tkachuk is already making 7 but will get a small raise. Eat Bread will get a raise from his 2.4. And Kylington is only making 750k, he'll make more too.

Offer Johnny huge money with term and I'm guessing he's sticking around. Tre just ahs to be creative with the rest of the roster to keep it competitive, and under the cap. As much as I like Monahan, if you can deal his 6.3 contract, you kinda have to unless he plays out of his mind in the 2nd half.

I love how Darryl just goes along with the questioner and will agree with whatever they propose.

You'd think they would learn not to try to offer up answers to their own question with him.

Maybe Kylington doesn't have to get much term yet but seems inevitable they Flames will have to shed some salary this summer. Plus let's see what other players they bring in.

It's good to see that next year we don't have any cap space allocated to buy outs. Getting browers 1.5 mil back next year is great!

Gaskal should just be thankful the Flames didn't score an empty-netter.
