Sigourney Weaver's best 5 run as best I can judge it would involve Alien and Ghostbuster sequels. if the originals could have been worked in with some of her films there might be a winning sequence in there somewhere?

Frances McDormand has had a pretty decent run lately. Longer if we're counting animated (Isle of Dogs).

Hail, Caesar
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
Nomandland
French Dispatch
Tragedy of Macbeth

I also looked at a few like Holly Hunter, Sally Field, Hillary Swank, unfortunately same thing. Too much filler between good roles on good movies.

Nic Cage had another very good run of 6-8 movies in the 90s but this is a good one, too.

1987 Moonstruck
1987 Raising Arizona
1986 Peggy Sue Got Married
1986The Boy in Blue
1984 Birdy
1984 The Cotton Club
1984Racing with the Moon
1983 Rumble Fish
1983 Valley Girl
1982 Fast Times at Ridgemont High

I was wondering if there would be just to much crap to make it work, but I don't think this is a bad run.

Nicolas Cage
Leaving Las Vegas 1995
The Rock 1996
Con Air 1997
Snake Eyes 1998
8mm 1999

That’s the joke

Although Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore are classics, and there will be no argument otherwise

Snake Eyes was one of the worst movies ever made. A craptacular piece of crap that one was. Gary Sinese is in it too iirc.

I saw that movie in the theatre and I’m still pissed about it. I hadn’t thought about it in years, not until I saw your post. I’m triggered. I want my $8 back.

I was taking a look at Forest Whitaker's early career

his first 4 movies (and yes I realize some of these were smaller roles) were
Fast Times
Color of Money
Platoon
Good Morning Vietnam

now movies 5 and 6 it gets a bit wonky- 5 is the guilty pleasure but let's be honest not a work of art Bloodsport and then number 6 was the more critically acclaimed yet not a box office stunner Bird

I don't think he qualifies in the end, but a pretty nice beginning to an interesting career

If Jim Carrey isn't in here what the hell.

1994:
Ace Ventura
The Mask
Dumb and Dumber

1995:
Ace Ventura 2
Batman Forever

1996:
The Cable Guy

1997:
Liar liar

1998
The Truman Show

1999
Man on the moon.

Don't matter which 5 you take, we'll maybe skip Batman because he Stole the show as the Riddler in an otherwise horrible movie..

No man has seen a hotter streak than he did in the 90s in Hollywood. No one.

For me, ace ventura 2 is a guilty pleasure and infinitely quotable, but you have to squint really hard at batman forever. It lands right in the middle!

What did he do right after man on the moon?

Me, Myself and Irene and the Grinch both in the same year. Hardly award winners but I personally loved both
