It's been sooo long since the last Flames game I forgot to wear my jersey when I went out for Wings night at my favourite resturaunt and bar. The owner gave me heck and said wtf with no jersey tonight??? You always wear one on games night

Haha okay Darryl

Driedger had 34 saves — almost twice as many as Markstrom — but he needed one more. He’d probably be the first to say he should have stopped the GWG that went through the wickets…

Honestly this quick reaction after Mangi's goal cracked me up so much I missed the Seattle goal right after as I went back to grab this screenshot. Thankfully I caught up in time to see Tkachuk's winner!

Driedger was awful. Like, borderline not NHL quality.

Gaudreau goal number 1, way overplayed on Zadorov. Tkachuk goal? Shoulda had it for sure. Mangiapane goal? Tougher but I bet most goalies don’t overplay that.

Calgary always gets lots of shots but it’s always such a red herring because it’s chances not shots that matters. The Flames have always executed amazingly at 40 foot shots from the outside and in the words of Sutter NHL goalies don’t let those in. Sure your shot counts go up but Calgary struggles to score wonder why? Gotta drive to the net / centre of the ice. Sutter has them doing that more this year but I sure wouldn’t hang my hat on shots for the Flames as a stat to bank on at all.

Flames effort tonight was, average to slightly above average. Wasn’t amazing or anything and a few passengers but the players we need to show up kinda did. Still left wanting more from Lindholm, Tkachuk and pretty much the whole D corps.

Roast squid. I like it.

My take on the Flames spoiling Giordano's night.

Fast and furious at the end; what was Kylington doing just standing there as his man is allowed, unbothered, to tip in the 4th goal?

While these look hideous and awful at first glance..
They are all Giordano Jerseys - so it's kind of oddly nice. Still hideous. But a lot less awful.

Wasn't his man. It was tipped by McCann who was in the middle.

Edit: watched it again, looks like McCann was Dube's man. He got tangled up a bit at the blue line and lost him.

Feels like a tug of war with the team lately with half elevating their games in amazing ways and half looking to sabotage the other halfs work in any way possible.

Hopefully they all get on the same page again soon.

I miss that shutout hockey.

Good game and win although I thought Seattle got a couple goals too easily.

I can't believe how good Johnny is and how well and hard he can shoot the puck, him and Tkachuk with 3 points each.

That was a good play/pass by Nikita Zadorov on Johnny's first goal, he does have some good skills and hockey sense.

Good night for Gio too with a goal and 2 helpers.

Game Photos from nhl.com.

Spoiler!

Game Takes: Flames 6 Kraken 4

- Gaudreau and Tkachuk with three point nights
- Giordano with three of his own against his former foes
- Flames find new 2nd line with Lucic pairing with the kids?

Hockey is back. Flames found a way to win and end a losing streak after coming off a forced Covid break. Good to see.
