I like Juolevi is going to either bust, or become an insignificant bottom-pairing journeyman. I am never impressed by what I see when I see him play, as it really seems like his compete level is set to floater. He most certainly has the tools. Will be worth keeping an eye on him and seeing if Florida can find a way to crank that give-o-crap metre up a bit.

Juolevi honestly isn't even that bad. Did fine in limited minutes last year. Why would they give him away for nothing?
For as bad as the Canucks' D is (and the only team that has a worse blue line is Edmonton) they are pretty locked up on the left side with Hughes and OEL holding the first two spots. They appear to have decided that Jack Rathbone is getting the third spot which... fair enough.
Their big issue is on the right side, so acquiring a right shot project defenseman isn't the worst idea.

Canucks will get more NHL minutes from Lammikko than they would Juolevi this season. This is coming from a guy who expects Juolevi to succeed in Florida.
