Wasn't Huselius 1 season removed from calder nomination. Sure his game fell at the start of 05 bit I fail to see a slow start = a veteran reclamation project. Veteran implies an older player and reclamation project implies they were no good for a significant time.

Went from a three-goal season in Colorado before he was acquired to a useful RHS physical middle-sixer and a big part of the 2015 team!

Guess he had 3 seasons in Florida before coming to Calgary and had declined in 04 as well. I guess he fits the criteria better than I thought.

Without a doubt, Mikka Kiprusoff. He was 27 when he came to Calgary for a 3rd round pick, after losing the backup job in San Jose to Toscala.

Yeah, but on the other side of it, we all got to see his hog on pay per view.

Thought I would be clever and say Regehr, best reclamation project. Or Maybe Giordanos return from Russia. But then I noticed veteran in the title (so I guess rookie/sophomore reclamations don't count).

Regehrs walking was in jeopardy at first. He's my favorite Flame and in this soft age nobody will ever overtake him for me.

I hope by middle 6 you mean bottom 6 caliber player playing a middle 6 role.

For me for someone to be a veteran reclamation project they have to be on the wrong side of 30. Morrison is an excellent shout.

Steve Begin the second time. Didn’t play the previous season, and the season before that spent the entire season in the AHL
Jokes but was still a cool story

Sheldon Kennedy. Was a hot mess when he got here and now I think of him as one of the most emotionally intelligent people I've ever listened to. Has helped more people, young and old, than anyone will ever know. Not sure if he's still calling Calgary home these days but I'm so thankful that he has for so long.

It’s going to be Sean Monahan when he scores 35 this season.

Dave Gagner should be considered. We had him for one year and the Leafs paid a big chunk of his salary. He rebounded to 60pts on a pretty bad/mediocre Flames team. Left as a UFA afterwards for more money than the Flames wanted or could pay him in that era. Post Flames his best season was 48 pts.
