That opens up a buyout window for Philly.

I look at their roster and I see giroux and van riemsdyk as potential buyout candidates given their age and salary. Fletcher was really aggressive this off season and they seem willing to make major changes to their core as they moved on from voracek. If anything, could see giroux more so than jvr as he has only 1 year left, carries a nmc and he isn’t an 8 million player anymore. Maybe nothing happens but something to keep an eye on.

Giroux and JVR were the Flyers top two scorers last season. They're not buying them out.

Not only that, but all their guys are signed now, I think, and Giroux only has one year left and JVR 2. Not much point to buy them out this year. Not much left on the market.
